Newsletter
One of the more unusual gigs I've had was this one, in which I served as the lone writer, editor, designer, and layout artist for the newsletter of a non-profit called the California Potbellied Pig Association. It's a bit more casual and lively than the business-like content one usually encounters in a newsletter, and I'll admit I broke quite a few layout rules with the page templates—the color palettes alone would send my design mentor running for the hills. But it was great fun, and the organization's president loved the gaudy, handcrafted look of it. This particular newsletter was laid out in Pages on Macintosh, but the bulk of my skill and experience is actually with Adobe InDesign.
